Costa Brava Area
The Costa Brava area has much to offer - relaxing on the beach or by the pool, weaving one’s way along the beautiful coast path, wandering around the local markets, visiting the old stone towns plus water parks, nightlife, horse riding, water sports, fiestas, and numerous excursions. From here it is possible to visit the Dali museum at Figueres and his second home at Cadaques The Roman and Greek ruins at Empuries are a short drive away and some of the old towns and villages inland, famous for their architecture, are well worth a visit.
There are a good range of watersports on offer; hiring a boat or windsurfer, taking the glass bottomed boat out to the Medes islands to see the multi coloured fish, scuba diving courses and visitng the waterpark at Platja D’Aro with it’s waterslides and wavemachines
The Botanical gardens at Calella de Palafrugell are beautiful and host many concerts during the summer. Girona and Barcelona are both a train ride away.
